The staff of Diamond Grove Center is comprised of qualified behavioral health professionals of multiple disciplines. These disciplines include psychiatry, psychology, pediatric medicine, social work, nursing, recreational therapy, occupational therapy and education. Annette Collins, LPN, Utilization Review Coordinator
Annette has been employed at Diamond Grove Center for 15 years. She started as LPN for the residential program and was promoted to the Utilization Review Coordinator in 2013. She started her nursing career in August 1996 when she attended Mississippi University for Women and graduated from East Mississippi Community College.
Bobbie Love-Johnson, MS;Eds, Admissions Coordinator
Bobbie has been employed with Diamond Grove Center in a contractual PRN position for over 10 years and assumed a fulltime role as an acute therapist in 2018. She has earned her role as Admission’s Coordinator beginning in 2019. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and later returned and earned her Masters of Science Degree in Special Education and Specialist Degree in Community Counseling both from Mississippi State University.
Gloria Norris, MS, Director of Residential
Gloria has been employed with Diamond Grove Center for 15 years. She started as a therapist and earned her role as Program Director of Residential in 2006. Gloria received her Bachelor of Science from Mississippi Valley State University and her Master of Science in Counseling Education from Mississippi State University.
Grace P Kelly, MD, Medical Director
Grace has been practicing adult, adolescent and child psychiatry for the past 36 years. She trained at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey and did an Internship and Residency in Psychiatry at New York Medical College Psychiatric Institute. In 1987, after completion of Residency training she came to Mississippi from New York to fulfill National Health Service Corp obligation to provide psychiatric services to underserved areas. She has been practicing psychiatry in Mississippi since then.
Jackie Wilson, MS/PHD Candidate, Social Services Director
Jackie has been employed at Diamond Grove Center for 20 years. She started as a therapist and earned her role as Social Services Director in 2008. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and later returned to earn her dual master’s degrees in both Special Education and Counselor Education. She is currently pursuing her PHD in general psychology at Capella University.
Jeannie Verell, BS, Business Development Director, Marketing Director, Mobile Assessor
Jeannie has been employed at Diamond Grove Center for 12 years as the Business Development Director, Marketing Director and mobile assessor. She has a bachelor’s degree from Kilgore College. She has more than 30 years in the field of mental health services and was part of the administrative team when Diamond Grove Center opened in 1997.
Ken Peres, MD, Medical Director
Ken has been the Medical Director at Diamond Grove Center for over 16 years. He has been practicing psychiatry since 1976 and is trained in child psychiatry. He trained at Louisiana State Medical Center and Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans.
Laura Shotts, MSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
Laura worked at Diamond Grove Center as an RN supervisor from 2007 to 2011. She received her associate degree in nursing from East Central Community College in 2004, her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009 and her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in nurse executive in 2011. She returned to us in 2016 in her role as CNO.
Mark Richards, MS, Admissions Coordinator
Mark has been employed at Diamond Grove Center for six years as the Admissions Coordinator (NARC). He has a bachelor’s degree in educational psychology and a masters’ degree in counseling education, both from Mississippi State University. He has 22 years of experience as a therapist with the Alabama Department of Mental Health.
Rosalynn Yarbrough, MS-Director of Business Development, Mobile Assessor
Rosalynn is a 14-year senior employee at Diamond Grove Center. Her journey began in October 2005 as therapist for seven years. Rosalynn transitioned into the role of Mobile Assessor and Marketing for the south central portion of Mississippi. Currently, Rosalynn is providing services to residents in north Mississippi where she serves as the Director of Business Development/Marketing and Mobile Assessor. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Mississippi State University and also earned a second master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The University of West Alabama. Rosalynn’s passion is to serve and to serve those who may have a need.
Stacy Thames, MS, Activity Director, Patient Advocate
Stacy has been employed at Diamond Grove Center for 21 years. He holds an associate degree from East Central Community College, bachelor’s degree from Mississippi Valley State University and master’s degree from University of the Rockies. Stacy is also the basketball coach for Diamond Grove Center.
Susan Watts, MS, Education Director, School Principal
Susan has been employed at Diamond Grove Center for 4 years as Education Director and School Principal. She earned her bachelor’s degree in family and human studies from Mississippi University for Women in 1982, elementary education certification from Mississippi State University in 1984 and Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Mississippi State University in 2000. She has 30 years of experience in public education as a teacher and administrator.
